Traveling Exhibit

We fell on this traveling exhibit at The Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA. There is not actual physical National Guitar Museum, instead, they have created this incredible exhibit that is quietly traveling the country entertaining thousands (and it should be millions!).

You can touch it. You can hear it. You can see it. You can see many, many famous ones. In fact, there are more than 70 guitars – acoustic, electric, historical, unusual and antique. There are 10 video displays as well as 15 hands-on interactives. There is even the world’s largest playable guitar a certified by the Guinness Book of records, 43.5 feet long.

After the show wraps at the Berkshire Museum, it’s off to Kalamazoo, MI through Jan. 2018, Fort Worth, TX: Jan. – May, 20118 and then to the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, MTMay-Sept, 2018.

Created by a high school class in Texas, you can strum and play and see how strings vibrate on a giant scale.
